This high grade product is used as a preservative, solvent for tincturing, base additive and antifreeze liquid. By and large it accomplishes the same purposes for use by the trapping trade, therefore in many instances choice of product is a matter of preference. Beyond this observation is the fact that these products are quite often used in combination, proportions being equal, while there are other instances when the proportions of one product is preferred to be greater. In regard to use as a solvent of powders or crystals, we recommend that propylene glycol be used in greater quantity than glycerine oil. The grade in quality of either of these products are what we have found to be best for particular use by the trapping trade.
