Methyl Paraben Powder - An anti-microbial agent used to a great extent in the same manner as Sodium Benzoate and for the same purposes, and quite often in conjunction. Highly recommended as a mold retardant.
1 oz. $3.25; 2 oz. $6.25; 4 oz. $12.00

Glycerine Oil High Grade or Propylene Glycol High Grade - These products are used as preservatives, solvents for tincturing, and antifreeze liquid. By and large, each accomplishes the same purposes for use by the trapping trade, therefore in many instances choice of products is a matter of preference. Beyond this observation is the fact that these products are quite often used in combination, proportions being equal while there are other instances when the proportions of one product is preferred to be greater. Such preference, if desirable, should be made known on your order and there is no change in price in regard to such mix proportions. In regard to use as solvents of powders or crystals, we recommend that Propylene Glycol be used in greater quantity than Glycerine Oil, and suggest a 75-25% ratio. The grades in quality of these products are what we have found to be best for particular use by the trapping trade.
1 pt. $6.00; 1 qt. $10.00; 1/2 gal. $16.00; gal. $26.00

Sodium Benzoate (Bait Maker's Compound, Powder) - For use in preventing cut or ground flesh baits from decomposing after reaching desired stage of taint. In addition, it is used in quieting down raw glands and secretions during the aging process and also for preserving urine, liquid baits, fish oil, solid fish baits, etc. Recommended proportions are seven or eight soup spoonfuls of powder to gallon of liquid, paste, or solid materials and mix well. If desired for use in liquid form, this product is soluble in warm water and can then be added to Glycerine Oil, Propylene Glycol or both in combination.
1 lb. $6.00

Zinc Valerate Powder - Special powder used by lure and flesh bait makers in the same manner as Sodium Benzoate Powder but its chief function is to stimulate lure and bait odors during the aging process and to stabilize them when in use. It is also an excellent retarder-preservative of urine that is to be kept in storage for later use and from one season to another. So great is the concentration of this product that a half-teaspoonful is sufficient to a gallon of urine or bait materials.
